I'm writing a piece about how immigrant communities often create their own lending and borrowing circles, circulate money within their communities by buying from one another, and ultimately create cash-dominated "hidden" and informal "immigrant economies" that traditional finance groups have little or no insight into.
I'm looking to interview finance or immigration experts who can share insights into:
- How these "immigrant economies" operate
- What products or companies currently exist (if any) that may be able to tap into these circles
- How better understanding them—and more importantly, the data that comes from them—would impact other areas of society beyond finance, such as healthcare, education, government policy, and so on
Requirements:
Experts should have direct experience working with immigrant communities, assisting immigrants with financial matters, or conducting research that applies to these areas.
