Hi there,
I'm looking for exclusive news stories about arts, literature and nature I can offer The Guardian and the Sunday Times.
For example:
1. Recognition at last! For a person or a group of people from the past who deserve it
2. Discoveries that shed light on a famous dead person and their work - thanks to an unpublished or previously overlooked document in an archive, or an object that is being auctioned for the first time
3. Discoveries that shed light on the history of the world - thanks to research into unpublished, previously overlooked or undiscovered documents or objects. Found in an archive or in the ground.
4. A mystery needs to be solved by the public - perhaps photographs or a painting is going on display and the people in them need to be identified
5. A puzzling mystery has been solved by an academic
6. Something really odd just happened/was discovered for the first time
7. A quirky and unusual dream job is being advertised - which you can apply for
8. You can see something really weird or fascinating on public display for the first time
Perhaps the hook is an upcoming book, documentary, exhibition or auction.
If you have anything like that to put forward to me, then please state which of the eight categories listed above your story fits into, and answer the following three questions:
- what is being revealed for the first time?
- how is this being revealed?
- why should we care?
And drop me an email if possible today.
Thanks
Donna

Guardian seeks case study over the age of 60 who has dated later in life and is from an ethnic minority
Hi there,
I’m writing an article for a national newspaper.
I'm seeking case studies over the age of 60 who are dating and have some funny or uplifting anecdotes to share.
I've found a lot of brilliant interviewees so far, but to get the balance of different voices right, I’m still looking for two more case studies:
-a non-white woman (LGBTQ+ or straight)
- an LGTQ+ person (any ethnic background)
Ideally one of them would be in their 80s. Ideally UK-based.
Does this sound like you or someone you know?
Please note you need to be happy to be photographed, and for your name (can be first name only) to appear in print.
Please send me answers to the following questions in your pitch:
Name:
Age:
Ethnic background:
Sexuality (straight/gay etc):
Whereabouts do you live in the UK:
Phone number:
Are you single?
Approximately how many people have you dated later in life?
Funniest or best date you ever went on:
Funniest or worst date you ever went on:
Best and worst thing about dating at your age:
Are you happy to be photographed and appear in the article?
Deadline is as soon as possible - I can't stop looking until I have found someone.
NOT interested in experts who wish to comment.
