For this story, I'm looking for restaurant workers (BOH or FOH) to talk about the work items that they've needed to purchase for themselves. Things like uniforms, knife sets, bar kits, work shoes, etc. This isn't a slam piece about restaurants that ask employees to provide some of their own supplies, but rather an explainer that helps readers understand the financial commitments of restaurant work. If you're a server, bartender, backwaiter, line cook, etc. willing to talk about the work items you've needed to buy with your own money or if you're a restaurateur/executive chef/general manager willing to explain why you expect workers to provide some of their own supplies, please feel free to reply!
